Who we are

Ben Schulz has worked in the domestic building industry for over 16 years. In 2000 he established B.J.S. Building Services before registering as a Domestic Building Practitioner (Unlimited) in 2005 providing further opportunities for the company to branch into new home construction and extensive alterations and additions.

While the company prides itself on producing quality new homes and extensions, the scope of our work ranges from large projects to kitchen and bathroom renovations, decks and pergolas across suburban Melbourne and regional Victoria.

At B.J.S. Building Services we believe that quality building is achieved through superior workmanship, whilst meeting the needs of the client through ongoing communication and working within the regulations of the building industry.

Our building process demonstrates respect for the materials used and where possible, we promote and support the use of sustainable materials.

What we do

At B.J.S. we offer a full range of services from the initial planning stages of a development to the handover of a finished product.

Our services include:

• Initial site meetings to fully ascertain exact client specifications.
• Detailed written quotes tailored specifically to client specifications.
• Support in obtaining working drawings, engineer computations, building permits, council permits etc. as required prior to commencement on site.
• All aspects of domestic construction including a team of loyal tradespeople who complement the practical expertise of the core B.J.S. team.
• Options to work in partnership with a Building Designer, Architect or Interior Designer.
• The ability to work closely with clients and vary our services according to your exact requirements.
• Providing all necessary insurances, including Builder's Home Warranty Insurance.
• Limited commercial registration for non-structural building works.
